I'm back

I'm back in Shenzhen (after my Christmas break) and I'm back on this blog.

My TV is not working so I went on the net to browse a little and stumbled back upon this blog, my blog. It actually read OK, I thought so anyway, so I thought why not give it another go. It would be kind of fun to look back on it in years to come. So, here it goes again!

There are two main things on my mind at the moment, well there's a third also but I'm not going to mention that just now. First up is the Mongol Rally. I am going to bed every night dreaming about it. It looks super cool. Driving a third of the way around the world, from London, through central Asia and onto UB, Mongolia. I love driving holidays or 'overlanding' as they say and this looks like a great option. Seamus is pretty keen also and we're thinking of going for the 2014 event. Right now a Skoda Fabia Combi is in pole position as our ride. I can't get it out of my head. I've read a couple of books by others who have done the trip and it looks like so much fun, a great adventure travel.

The other thing... Cigars. I love them, but a little bit too much. I smoke way too many. I'm slightly worried by the health implications but more so by the cost or what else I could be doing with the money. They're expensive! I'm not doing very well on the cutting back effort but you have to start somewhere and admission of a slight problem is a start at least. I don't want to give them up. I love smoking cigars but I would like to make it more of a weekend, holiday or special occasion thing... not the every day thing it is now.

I can think of other things to say but I should save some ideas for future entries and make my blogging momentum at little bit easier to get going.

Watch this space!
